Just who is this "ALComan" and what does "ALCo" mean...

As you can see I am a person who likes trains.....also referred to as a RAILFAN I am a guy who never got over my childhood fantasy of being a railroader, I live in Western New York State....my first and foremost interests being trains and railroading. CLICK HERE! OR HERE! TO SEE ME!!!

THERE IS NO PLACE I WOULD RATHER BE THAN BEHIND THE THROTTLE OF A 277,000 POUND LOCOMOTIVE

But since I no longer have the opportunity to run a good smoky Alco locomotive, I was recently hired by CSX Transportaion as a Clerk/Driver at Frontier Yard in Buffalo, NY...I enjoy computers and I also dabble in aquariums....I enjoy spending time with my family and my friends... I currently drive 2 vehicles....first is a 2003 Chevy Blazer LT and a 1999 GMC Suburban SLT 4x4..the '03 being the RAILFAN vehicle of choice

On weekends in years past (and yes some weeknights too) I could be seen doing what I love the best... being an Engineer/Brakeman/Conductor on the New York and Lake Erie Railroad or you may have seen me working sporadically for the Buffalo Southern Railroad. Both railroads are "ALL-ALCo" hence, the name ALComan
